Galeria Północna changes the retail face of northern Warsaw

Project showcase
Galeria Północna is the first fourth generation shopping centre in the north of Warsaw and the first large mall to be developed in the capital for more than a decade. The centre was opened on September 14th. Four weeks after the grand opening, Galeria Północna had already been visited by over one million customers.

Galeria Północna is a public centre in the full sense of the word – designed with care for the comfort of guests and the environment, providing a comprehensive range of retail and entertainment, being open and friendly for the local community. The building meets the highest ecological standards, having been awarded LEED Gold certification for building sustainability and for its minimal impact on the environment. With its numerous spaces for relaxation such as a roof garden with children’s playground, an outdoor gym and skate park and its fountain squares, Galeria Północna perfectly fits its green surroundings in the Białołęka district. Galeria Północna brings retail and entertainment services that had not been in this part of the city before. Customers will find a full-sized Carrefour hypermarket, a Cinema City multiplex, a Calypso fitness club, and an Enel-Med medical centre. Its area of around 64 000 sqm is filled with more than 200 flagship stores of Polish and foreign brands such as clothing brands belonging to LPP company – Reserved, Mohito, Sinsay, House and Cropp, H&M, Forever21, TK Maxx, CCC, RTV Euro AGD, Empik, Sephora and Douglas, and Super-Pharm and Rossmann. The services in Galeria Północna are complemented by hairdressing salons and over 20 restaurants serving dishes from all over the world. Some of them have separate entrances facing onto the street, allowing them to operate independently of shopping centre opening hours.

With its high quality of architecture and functionality Galeria Północna has also attracted brands debuting on the Polish and Warsaw market. American clothing giant Forever21 has signed its first Polish contract in the centre. UK-based Hamleys – one of the largest toy chains in the world – has also decided to open its first Polish store in Białołęka. KappAhl has appeared in Galeria Północna with the Newbie boutique with clothes for children and infants. Homla also located its first point-of-sales in Warsaw in Galeria Północna. The commercial potential of the centre has been recognised by a number of sport brands. 4Faces, a multibrand sports concept belonging to the OTCF company, is opening a store in Warsaw in the centre. Martes Sport also has chosen the mall as the location for its first premium store in the capital city. Galeria Północna has also attracted the Melon Fashion Group. Galeria Północna is the first location in Poland where the stores of all three brands belonging to the company – Zarina, Love Republic and Befree appeared.
