Racquets, clubs... and the right pair of shoes

Events
Once again, representatives of the real estate sector came together to brandish their tennis racquets, swing their golf clubs, and lace up their best running shoes. All this took place during three sports tournaments held on a sunny day in June in Warsaw and its outskirts. And it wasn’t just hot because of the weather!

The sporting excitement kicked off – or rather, teed off – on Friday, June 6th at the First Warsaw Golf course in Rajszew, on Warsaw’s northern outskirts, where the 24th Eurobuild Annual Golf Tournament was taking place. Three contests were held during the tournament: the Ladies’ Longest Drive, the Men’s Longest Drive and the Closest to the Pin. As in previous years, a golf academy was organised alongside the main tournament. The real estate professionals taking part not only competed with one another, but were also able to make valuable new contacts while having a wonderful day out.

“I represent Novo Technologies, which develops software for commercial property management. This golf tournament is a great opportunity for me to network and have fun while taking a break from daily responsibilities,” remarked Bartłomiej Piątek, one of the tournament participants and a representative of the event sponsor.

“As an IT contractor working with the likes of Deutsche Bank Germany and Vienna Insurance Group. I’ve been playing here since 2017 – because I have a fondness for Poland, and golf is, above all, great fun and a chance to spend time in good company,” added Mojmír Ján Kriška of Deutsche Telekom IT & Telecommunications Slovakia.

The results of the tournament were as follows: Best gross – Michał Poniż (81), group I HCP (handicap 0–18); stroke play net – 1st: Dominik Reszetko (70), 2nd: Dariusz Adekoya (70), 3rd: Bartosz Gruszczyński (71). group II HCP (18.1–36), stableford net – 1st: Maciej Sobczak (45), 2nd: Monika Matusiak (45), 3rd: Jakub Linka (45). Additional contests: Men’s longest drive – Marcin Oleszkiewicz; Ladies’ Longest Drive – Magdalena Muszyńska; closest to the pin – Nimrod Tavi (1.04 m). Golf academy mini-tournament results: best putt – Monika Muszyńska; longest drive – Łukasz Buss

At the same time that the golfers were taking to the greens, the 20th Eurobuild summer tennis was getting underway at the Warszawianka tennis club in Mokotów district, where both tennis and commercial real estate players clashed over the courts. The singles tournament was divided into three categories: men, women and a pro category for players with a Polish Tennis Association licence.

“Why did Novo Technologies decide to sponsor this event? Firstly, to promote sport, but also because relationship-building is the foundation of our sector. We understand how important sport is in people’s lives – especially when most of our time is spent at desks and under constant stress. Tennis and golf are sports that can be played at virtually any age. Events like these offer an excellent opportunity to connect with people with whom we have business ties and to build new relationships. It clearly works — people who play the same sport tend to seek out one another. They often arrange follow-up meetings and strengthen their relationships. That always helps our sector, where relationships are so crucial,” commented Monika Zakrzewska, the CEO of Novo Technologies.

The other main sponsor of the event was BMW Auto Fus Group. Their representative, Jakub Alaborski, spent the entire day with us, first on the golf course and then on the courts, cheering on and encouraging all the players. APP-Projekt, a long-standing supporter of the Eurobuild tennis tournament, also shared their thoughts: “The 20th tournament provided clear proof that sport, business and positive energy can go hand in hand for many years. It’s all the more special for us, as APP-Projekt is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A double celebration and the perfect opportunity to honour two decades full of challenges, successes and valuable connections — both in business and on the court. We’re especially pleased that our representative once again took first place — congratulations to our champion! We are proud to support this tournament year after year, because we believe these initiatives genuinely connect people and build lasting bonds. Congratulations to the organisers – and see you next year,” declared Magdalena Witkowska of APP-Projekt.

A different angle was provided by Anna Jastrzębska, Polish Tennis Association referee, who has cooperated with Eurobuild for the event for many years: “This year, we had 4–5 players per group. To make it to the quarter-finals, each had to play at least three matches, making it a demanding tournament, with every match played in a full-set format. The level of play, as always, was very high. I’m pleased that eight women played again this year, and we were able to create two women’s groups. And some perennial favourites have clearly emerged! Last year’s semi-finalists and finalists were seeded in their groups and once again made it through to the quarter-finals. That consistency confirms the high level of the competition,” she said.

The event concluded with the following results: Women’s Open – 1st: Magda Morawska, Colliers, 2nd: Natalia Piszczkiewicz, BuildMan, 3rd; Anna Winiarczyk, APP Projekt / Lilianna Załuska, Hpf Investment. Men’s Open – 1st: Michał Korwin-Małaszyński, APP Projekt, 2nd: Tomasz Opiela, Valkea Media, 3rd: Łukasz Meisner, 7R / Cezary Lewandowski, mBank. Men’s Open PRO – 1st: Bartosz Hys, 2nd: Łukasz Wiśniewski, TOA Electronics, 3rd: Tomasz Czyżewski, Dom Development / Jacek Szkuta, Axi Immo.

The Eurobuild Run kicked off a little later than the other tournaments, at 2pm, and followed a route mapped out between buildings, containers and car parks on ul. Jagiellońska in Warsaw’s Żerań district. Although this was only the second time the event had taken place, more than 50 individual runners and several relay teams lined up at the start. It was a decidedly nostalgic run through a legendary site — the former Żerań car factory. Soon, this area will be permanently transformed by developer Okam. For that reason, the runners were invited after the race to tour an exhibition showcasing all the car models produced in the plant.

“At LCP Poland, running is more than a sport. It’s part of our organisational culture – a way to build endurance, teamwork and healthy lifestyle habits. That’s why we were pleased to once again support the Eurobuild Run, our key running event of the year. Each year, more of our employees take part – this time we had as many as 15 runners! The ‘Running Employer of the Year 2025’ title proves that a shared passion can genuinely strengthen a company from within. Many thanks to the organisers for a brilliantly prepared event that connects sport with business values,” remarked Przemysław Wardęga, the PR and marketing director of LCP Poland, part of M Core.

The results of the races at Żerań were as follows: Women’s category – 1st: Joanna Wielgat, LCP Poland part of M Core, 2nd: Małgorzata Lusawa, APP Projekt, 3rd: Martyna Kułak, Falcon. Men’s category – 1st: Michał Majcher, Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak, 2nd: Przemysław Wardęga, LCP Poland part of M Core, 3rd: Jakub Baranowski, Wardyński & Partners. The relay was won by LCP Poland’s three-person team, followed by the teams of Harden Construction, Oto Team and Dekra. Moreover, LCP Poland part of M Core won the title Running Employer of the Year 2025.

And later… To round off the day’s sporting excitement, all the participants, organisers and representatives of sponsors and partners got together for an after-party at the Voda riverside restaurant. The awards were presented to the winners, and the celebrations – despite the unsettled weather – lasted almost until morning.

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone who took part in each of the sporting events. Our sincere thanks also go to our partners, sponsors and prize donors. Without all of you, these tournaments would not be possible. Special thanks to: Novo Property Management, BMV Auto Fus Group, LCP Poland part of M Core, Harden Construction, APP-Projekt, Dekra, Komu Group, Legia Golf, Loredo, MartiDerm, Recman and Trigar. See you all again next year!
