The irony of hindsight is that we don’t have it when we actually need it. With this in mind, we have spoken with several dozen leaders in the real estate sector across the CEE region, those with established careers who have made it to the top rungs of their organisations or started businesses of their own, to understand what their experience has taught them, what they consider the most impactful decisions of their careers, and what they might have changed. A quick caveat to start off with. In the age of an internet seemingly endlessly populated by “influencers”, assuring us that we are always only one decision away from becoming successful/finding a partner/getting fit/being happier etc., the danger here is to put too much weight on one individual’s experience or on singular moments in any given career.
