The final panel of the day was a discussion on the PRS and PBSA segments. This time, the debate was moderated by Małgorzata Dankowska, the managing partner of Koda Advisory. She was joined on the stage by Leszek Stankiewicz, the CEO of YIT, Shay Baruch, the CEO of Livup, Tomasz Kosieradzki, a director at Griffin Capital Partners, Tymon Nowosielski, the CEO of Eiffage Immobilier Polska, and Paweł Romańczuk, the head of asset management and operations at Heimstaden Bostad.
Many people in Poland are still unable to buy a home for themselves and so they are being forced to enter the rental market. As Leszek Stankiewicz pointed out, this means the country has a large structural demand for PRS accommodation – and this market is growing. No longer is it the time for making opportunistic deals. In his opinion, it’s time to build institutional platforms able to respond to this demand.
