Kazimierz Krupa, editor-in-chief, Eurobuild CEE: You have been contributing to the development of the market since its early days, not long after the political transformation. What were the most formative experiences on your path from corporate leadership to embarking on your own ventures?
Monika Woźniak-Zawioła, partner, CEO, The Concept Poland: My professional journey mirrors the evolution of the Polish real estate market itself. It began in the late 1990s, when Poland was transitioning into a modern, investment-driven economy. My previous work with such international institutions as ING Group, TriGranit and ECE Group exposed me early on to complex capital structures, cross-border investment strategies and large-scale developments. At that time, annual investment volumes were below EUR 1 bln. Today, Poland is the largest market in the CEE region, with peak volumes exceeding EUR 7–8 bln. We set out to improve the urban fabric through the gradual implementation of new generation c
