POLAND In April this year, Hungarian developer Futureal announced that it had entered the Polish real estate market by forming a partnership with Caelum Development to complete the latter's NoVa Park shopping centre project in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Futureal, which on its website claims to be one of the "top ten developers in Europe" with completed projects worth EUR 500 mln and a EUR 1 bln pipeline, had previously only focused on its mother country and on a number of retail and residential projects in Romania. At the end of June, a couple of months following the closing of the Caelum deal, the developer revealed plans to invest EUR 100 mln over the next two years in completing frozen projects in the CEE region, the first of which is set to be an office development in Poland (dependent on the finalising of a preliminary agreement).
