Running for those who can’t – the Poland Business Run

This year’s race, which took place on Sunday, September 6th, was attended by almost 15,000 people representing 1,031 companies. There were no shortage of runners from the real estate sector. The five-person relay teams ran the distance of 5 x 3.8 km. Thanks to the run a record amount of over PLN 1 mln gross was raised, which will be used to buy artificial limbs for nine people: Piotr, Łukasz, Ania, Kacper, Marek, Marcin, Patryk, Karol and Adam – beneficiaries of the Jasiek Mela Foundation Poza Horyzonty (‘Beyond Horizons’). The foundation is soon to choose the individuals it will help next. The fastest team in the country was JZP Kancelaria Adwokacka of Katowice, covering the 19 km in 54 minutes and 56 seconds. Meanwhile, in Warsaw the gold went to Accenture Team I for a time of 1.03:34. The real estate sector was also represented on the podium, with White Star’s team coming in third with a time of 1.06:31. Others from the property scene including the Cirque de Sore Legs team of CBRE in 26th, AIG/Lincoln (43rd), Colliers Cool Runners (58th), Savills’ Żółte Petardy (61st), Satoria Group (72nd), Immochan (104th), the CBRE Office Agency (107th), Ghelamco Dream Team III (110th), CBRE’s Too Stupid To Stop (114th), the Ghelamco Dream Team I (115th), Kuryłowicz & Associates 1 (120th), Kuryłowicz & Associates 2 (147th), Satoria Group (161st), Satoria Group SA II (178th), CBRE Power Rangers (183rd), CBRE Champions (184th) – and these were only the first 200 of the more than 580 teams.
The Poland Business Run is a charity business relay run, which starts at the same time in cities and towns across Poland every year. The aim of the initiative is to help charges of the Jasiek Mela Foundation Poza Horyzonty (‘Beyond Horizons’), which supports people who have undergone amputations. The next Poland Business Run is scheduled to take place on September 4th, 2016.
