Polish finalists at MIPIM Awards 2020

Monopolis, which is nominated in the best mixed-use project category, will comprise a total of 23,400 sqm of offices in the main building of the former vodka bottling plant (7,000 sqm) and two new buildings (8,050 sqm and 8,350 sqm). The current total usable area of the existing B2, B3, B4, B5 and B6 buildings as well as the gallery and museum amounts to 14,500 sqm, 6,000 sqm of which is office space. The project will be certified under the BREEAM system. Rafał Grzelewski of Head Architect, Grupa 5 Architekci, Konrad Krusiewicz and The Design Group are responsible for the architectural concept of Monopolis, while the developer is Virako. Elektrownia Powiśle in Warsaw, which is among the four final shortlisted projects in the office category, was developed by Tristan Capital Partners and White Star Real Estate. It is located in Warsaw’s Powiśle district and will include three office buildings with a total of ​​23,000 sqm. The architectural design is the work of the APA Wojciechowski studio. And Granaria in Gdańsk is a finalist in the urban projects category. The ​​55,000 sqm project involves the preservation of what remains of historic granaries, which will be enriched with contemporary residential development and public space. In the first stage of the project a footbridge is to be built across the river Motława, while the Stągiewny bridge is to be redeveloped and the marina enlarged. Immobel Group and Multibud are the developers of the project, while RKW Architektur + Kwadrat Studio Architektoniczne and Mąka Sojka Architekci are responsible for the architectural design.
