The lease contract for the former Energożelbet office building on ul. Mickiewicza in the city centre (on the corner of ul. Sokolska and ul. Skargi) has been signed and the renovation work has already started.
The hotel will offer 203 rooms and suites, including 145 double rooms (with a double bed), five single rooms, 50 apartments and three ‘Family & Friends’ rooms.
The lease agreement between Vienna House and the investor and developer of the project – Pinewood Investment Management – was signed in December 2019. Aldesa was chosen as the general contractor for the reconstruction of the building into a hotel, while BWM Architekten studio is responsible for the interior design. The completion of the work and the opening of the building has been scheduled for March 2021.
“Together with Pinewood Investment Management, we are kick-starting a new era for the Polish hotel market. Vienna House R.evo perfectly reflects the spirit of the times, meeting the current and future challenges that cities face. I am pleased that our vision is now taking shape in Katowice,” declared Rupert Simoner, the CEO of Vienna House.
Vienna House R.evo will provide guests with greater flexibility in terms of the length of stay and type of accommodation, ranging from a room for single night or an apartment for six weeks. The Family & Friends rooms with basic amenities are available for groups of up to four people, but can also be taken by individual guests.
“We are very proud to be part of the team that is introducing R.evo, here in Poland. Following many months of work on this concept, I am convinced that it will revolutionise the market. Together with Vienna House, we will transform how a hotel can meet the requirements and lifestyles of new generations, providing them with a place where they can live, work and meet while still feeling at home,” claims Rafał Mirowski, the CEO of Pinewood Investment Management.
Another Vienna House R.evo is currently under construction in Munich and due to open in 2022.
