Poland Meininger teams up with Fronton for Kraków hotel

Hotels
Meininger Hotels and Polish real estate developer Fronton have signed a deal to develop a 503-bed and 135-room hotel in Kraków, scheduled to open in summer 2023.

The deal was brokered by Pawel Nowakowski, the owner of PNConsulting. The new Meininger Hotel is to be built east of the city's Old Town in the Grzegórzki district in a complex of historic houses that in future will consist of three buildings. The plan is to renovate two existing buildings and erect another. The heart of the complex will be formed by a rooftop terrace with two inner courtyards.

The concept of Meininger Hotels, which counts leisure travellers as well as school classes among its guests, fits ideally into the surroundings of the Grzegórzki district. The architecture plays a central role in this.
Eugeniusz Batko, the CEO of Fronton

The hotel is located along a new railroad line between Kraków's central railway station and Rudzice. After completion, guests will be able to travel directly from the airport to the new Grzegórzki station, which is only two minutes from the hotel. A Meininger hotel is also currently being built in Warsaw. The opening of both hotels is planned for 2023.
