POLAND Radisson plans new openings across Poland

Radisson Hotel Group is to further expand its network in Poland, beginning next year with openings in Ostróda and Kraków, followed by new hotels on the Baltic coast in 2024 and 2025.

Radisson Blu Resort & Conference Center, Ostróda in the Masurian lake district is to open In early 2023, which will offer extensive leisure as well as conference and meeting facilities, while the summer of 2023 will see the opening of Radisson RED Kraków and Radisson Apartments Kraków, both forming part of the Unity Centre business complex.

For 2024, the group has scheduled the opening on the Baltic coast of Radisson Blu Resort, Miedzywodzie, while in 2025 its 23rd property in Poland and its eighth resort, Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie, will also be opening.

This year the group has opened the Andersia Hotel & Spa Poznań under the Radisson Individuals brand and in August opened the Radisson RED Gdańsk hotel. Radisson Hotel Group now has more than 5,200 rooms, in operation or under development, in Poland.

After a record year in 2021 with the continued growth of all our brands worldwide, we have set ourselves even higher targets for 2022. Globally, over the past three years, we have invested more than USD 400 mln to further strengthen the relevance of our brands and develop new business offerings. We have invested another USD 100 mln in state-of-the-art IT infrastructure. All this to give owners world-class digital solutions to help serve guests, manage properties, and optimise revenues and costs. Poland is an important market for our growth strategy in Europe.

Radisson entered the Polish market in 2017 with the opening of Radisson Blu Resort, Świnoujście in 2017, since when it has grown its network with openings and signings in Zakopane, Sopot, Sklarska Poręba and Kołobrzeg, among others. The group recently introduced its Radisson Collection luxury brand to the country with the rebranding of the former Radisson Blu Hotel, Warsaw to the Radisson Collection Hotel, Warsaw.

Poland 7R Bydgoszcz ready for the next stage

Polish warehouse developed 7R has leased out the entire first stage of 7R Park Bydgoszcz, which is now being prepared for expansion. The main tenant of the first phase is now Polish logistics operator Rohlig Suus Logistics, which has decided to lease another 3,000 sqm, bringing its premises in the park up to almost 16,500 sqm.

Savills Investment Management transacted more than EUR 3.6 bln globally in private real estate equity transactions in 2022, including EUR 3.1 bln in Europe and EUR 540 mln in Asia. The investment platform completed 112 transactions across 14 countries in 2022, including around EUR 2.1 bln of acquisitions and EUR 1.5 bln of disposals, resulting in a net investment of app. EUR 600 mln.

GTC closed the year by achieving a very high occupancy rate for its office buildings in Warsaw. Particularly important for GTC's result was a contract-laden end of the year. The company signed office leases from its Warsaw portfolio for nearly 20,000 sqm, 34 pct of all transactions were new tenants.

Its owner, a joint venture of the Czech fund INVESTIKA realitní fond and Luxembourg-based private equity investor Bud Holdings, has entrusted real estate advisory firm Savills to provide property management for the complex.
