In Cushman & Wakefield’s latest Hotel Operator Beat survey, Budapest was placed as the most attractive market in CEE, reaching 4.3 points on a 1–5 scale where 5 means very high interest. Prague is a little step down with 4.2 points, and Warsaw, Kraków and Bucharest complete the top 5 markets targeted by hotel operators.
In the top 5 list, a 10 pct growth of interest in Budapest is the most significant change, elevating the Hungarian capital to the first place this year. The interest in Prague remains stable, having reached nearly the same score as in H2 2021 when the survey was last taken. As the performance of hotels soars above the pre-pandemic levels, regional and international operators are optimistic about the industry's outlook and keen to expand across the CEE-12 region. Hotel transactions boom

The Czech hotel market is building on an exceptionally strong year in 2025, marked by a significant increase in transaction volumes and investor interest. According to Cushman & Wakefield, a total of 16 hotels were sold in the Czech Republic, representing 2,989 rooms and a total transaction volume of EUR 764 mln. Based on available data, this represents the highest annual transaction volume ever recorded on the Czech hotel market.
