POLAND According to a report prepared by Christie & Co, the number of tourists using hotels in Poland increased by 86 pct from 2006 until 2015.
POLAND Upper Finance has raised PLN 5 mln through the issue of three-year bearer bonds for a company from the 7R Logistic capital group. This is the third issue from which 7R Logistic has acquired funds. The money will make it possible to expand the Kraków-Kokotów logistics park that was launched in December 2015.
POLAND A cigarette factory in Augustów is set to become one of the largest manufacturing plants of British American Tobacco (BAT) in the world. The BAT factory is to be extended because some of its production is being moved from Germany to Poland (following the closure of its plant in Bayreuth). The extended factory in Augustów will offer more than 200 extra jobs.
POLAND Polnord has issued unsecured O-series bonds as part of a private issue. They are worth PLN 20 mln and were all taken up by two financial institutions.

POLAND Auto Partner, an importer and distributor of car components, is to extend the warehouse and office area the company occupies in two warehouse parks, MLP Bieruń and MLP Pruszków II, by nearly 19,000 sqm.

POLAND Mennica Polska (the Polish Mint) has officially launched the construction of the first stage of the Mennica Residence – a residential project in Warsaw’s Wola district.
POLAND Marvipol, a WSE-listed residential developer, concluded a preliminary contract with Veolia Energia Warszawa concerning the purchase of a property on ul. Lizbońska in Warsaw’s Saska Kępa district and has also acquired a plot on ul. Topiel in Powiśle.
POLAND Dom Development has purchased 100 pct of the shares in Fort Mokotów Inwestycje from Qualia Development for PLN 133.5 mln.

POLAND Biuro Inwestycji Kapitałowych (BIK) has obtained a building permit for the third stage of Śląskie Centrum Logistyczne in Sosnowiec.
POLAND Lokum Deweloper of Wrocław has purchased a 3.9 ha plot on ul. Walerego Sławka in Kraków for PLN 40 mln. Lokum is planning to build a superior standard multifamily estate.
EUROPE In H1 2016 Orbis had a double-digit growth of its Rev PAR index (10.2 pct) compared to H1 2015 thanks to higher operational indexes across Eastern Europe (an increase of the occupancy rate by 1.9 percentage points and the average price per room by 6.9 pct), reports the hotel operator.

POLAND The vacancy ratio on the Warsaw office market is to stay at 15-16 pct during the second half of the year, according to the latest Marketview report by CBRE. The agency expects that the market will grow in total by 454,500 sqm in 30 new buildings by the end of the year.

POLAND Sawa Apartments is entering the market of high-end medical and wellness centres for clients who are 55 years of age or older. Its first project will be carried out in Zegrze Północne (Serock administrative district, Legionowo county) on Lake Zegrzyńskie, while the second project will be a luxury medical centre in Warsaw.
