EUROPE According to a report from Deloitte entitled ‘European Powers of Construction 2015’, the market capitalisation of the fifty largest construction companies in Europe increased by as much as 21 pct and their total sales in 2015 increased by 5 pct y-o-y. These are the best results since 2007.

POLAND The Nowy Punkt 2 estate in Warsaw’s Targówek district is to be built by Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane Besta of Rzeszów. Napollo has settled a tender procedure to determine the general contractor for the project. The work is to start this summer and finish in autumn next year.

RUSSIA Immofinanz is about to sell its EUR 1.1 bln portfolio of shopping centres in Moscow. “Since the Russian properties have distinct market characteristics and a different risk profile than the remainder of the portfolio, Immofinanz plans either to sell or spin off the Moscow shopping centres,” the company stated in its recent 2015/2016 annual report.

POLAND Upper Finance has raised PLN 5 mln through the issue of three-year bearer bonds for a company from the 7R Logistic capital group. This is the third issue from which 7R Logistic has acquired funds. The money will make it possible to expand the Kraków-Kokotów logistics park that was launched in December 2015.
POLAND A cigarette factory in Augustów is set to become one of the largest manufacturing plants of British American Tobacco (BAT) in the world. The BAT factory is to be extended because some of its production is being moved from Germany to Poland (following the closure of its plant in Bayreuth). The extended factory in Augustów will offer more than 200 extra jobs.
POLAND Polnord has issued unsecured O-series bonds as part of a private issue. They are worth PLN 20 mln and were all taken up by two financial institutions.

POLAND Auto Partner, an importer and distributor of car components, is to extend the warehouse and office area the company occupies in two warehouse parks, MLP Bieruń and MLP Pruszków II, by nearly 19,000 sqm.
