Romania Retail still strong
Romania’s retail market went through a contrasting first quarter in 2026, according to the Romanian Retail Marketbeat Q1 2026 report published by Cushman & Wakefield Echinox. While macroeconomic indicators reflect a period of adjustment, the high street segment and the medium-term development pipeline remain extremely robust.

Poland Medicine and education in Gdynia
The construction of a commercial medical and educational centre is nearing completion in the Nowa Dąbrowa development in Gdynia. Nowa Dąbrowa is a fast-developing quarter in the southern part of Gdynia. Eventually, the first stage will house around 1,000 people.

LCP Poland, part of M Core, has acquired land from its business partner PKB Inwest Budowa to develop its sixth retail park this year. M Park Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski will comprise over 9,000 sqm gla with 16 retail and service units.

Poland Era Park opens in Kosakowo
Era Park has now opened in Kosakowo, near Gdynia. The retail park is on the Gdynia-Rewa road, directly next to an existing Lidl supermarket, as well as Aldi and Biedronka stores, an Orlen filling station, and a KFC drive-thru restaurant.

Czech Republic Retail parks growing rapidly across Czech Republic
Retail parks in the Czech Republic are rapidly expanding and already account for almost a third of all modern retail space. In 2025, 82,400 sqm of new and expanded retail parks were delivered to the market, and the pace of their expansion is accelerating. Overall, developers plan to deliver 19 retail parks to the market this year, with a total area of nearly 90,000 sqm. This follows from data by Cushman & Wakefield.
