Jan Kulczyk dies at 65

POLAND Jan Kulczyk, Poland's wealthiest man and the founder of such companies as Kulczyk Holding and Kulczyk Investments, has passed away at the age of 65.

MLP Group has successfully closed its debut senior green notes offering, worth EUR 300 mln (approx. PLN 1.3 bln). Investor demand far exceeded expectations, resulting in the offering being multiple times oversubscribed.

According to data from the National Bank of Romania analyzed by the Cushman & Wakefield Echinox, the real estate and construction sector became the second largest recipient of foreign capital in Romania, after industry. The sector attracted approx. EUR 2.2 bln of foreign direct investments in 2023, as the share of this economic activity in the overall FDI stock stood at 17.5 pct at the end of 2023.

PHN has extended its lease agreement for over 10,500 sqm with State Street Bank, the key tenant of the Titanium tower in the Alchemia office complex in Gdańsk.

Accolade has secured EUR 29.5 mln net financing from BNP Paribas Bank Polska for the development of Park Szczecin VI industrial park, located in the Dunikowo Special Economic Zone. The facility will have an area of over 54,000 sqm.

Deloitte has leased over 900 sqm in the modern Hi Piotrkowska office complex in Łódź, a facility managed by Master Management Group.

Panattoni has again partnered with law firm HFW and Pledge and Analytiqa to publish the 3rd edition of the 2024 European Logistics Sustainability Report. The results show significant progress in efforts to reduce the sector's carbon footprint.

Polkomtel, a telecommunications company that is part of the Polsat Plus Group, will move into the Sterlinga Business Center office building, managed by GTC, in Łódź in December. The company will occupy an area of over 3,000 sqm.

Antykwariat i Księgarnia Tezeusz, a company operating in Poland's second-hand book market, has leased 470 sqm in Galileo, an office building within GTC’s Korona complex in Kraków.

Profbud will develop the City of Polish Olympic Champions. Robert Lewandowski is a shareholder, as well as a content partner of the investment, which will be built on the outskirts of Warsaw, in the Lesznowola municipality.

The Kruk Company, operating in the debt management market, has leased 6,000 sqm of space in the B10 office-hotel complex in Wrocław, which is owned by Vastint Poland.

Develia has signed a letter of intent with Innova Capital and Solida Capital to develop student housing through an investment fund.

SIG, a supplier of construction products, has renewed its lease for 4,400 sqm of warehouse and office space in Prologis Park Wrocław.

CTP has obtained an occupancy permit for buildings WARS02 and WARS05, with a total area of 110,000 sqm. The facilities are part of the CTPark Warsaw West complex. The space will be occupied by Raben Group. The location in Wiskitki, near Warsaw, will be its 36th branch in the country.

Polish parcel dispatch company InPost has leased 11,000 sqm at MDC2 Park Kraków South. The BTS project is to be built on a site prepared exclusively for the tenant.

The Galardia shopping centre in Starachowice has been acquired by Future Estate from London-based Stage Capital. It was opened in October 2014 and comprises 18,000 sqm gla.

HB Reavis has signed seven-year lease agreements with Transition Technologies and other companies, which will occupy nearly 1,000 sqm of office space in the Forest campus in Warsaw. The building is now fully let.

GN Poland has leased more than 2,000 sqm of office space in the Saski Crescent building in Warsaw. The company is part of the GN Group, a Danish provider of intelligent audio, video, gaming solutions, and hearing systems.

Czech property group Mint is finalising the construction of its premium Metropolis residential project in Bratislava, which will comprise 298 luxury apartments.

The Elektrownia Powiśle mixed-use complex in Warsaw is the only development in the CEE region to have made it through to the finals of this year's MIPIM Awards. The complex, which has been nominated in the "Best Urban Regeneration Project" category, was designed by the APA Wojciechowski studio and developed by White Star Real Estate. The winners of all the categories are to be announced on March 14th during the awards ceremony at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
