Museum plaque laid

POLAND A plaque laying and groundbreaking ceremony has taken place at the construction site of the Polish History Museum in the grounds of the Warsaw Citadel, which is to be renamed Park Niepodległości [Independence Park].
The plaque is to be embedded in the walls together with a time capsule. Other museums in the park include the Katyń Museum and the 10th Pavilion museum and also the Polish Army Museum will also be relocated to the site. The design for the two new buildings, which was chosen in a competition in 2009, is by WXCA architectural studio and work began on the Polish Army Museum in July with Budimex acting as the general contractor.
