More gloom in the construction sector
POLAND The optimism among decision makers of building companies is at its lowest level in six years, according to KPMG’s ‘Budownictwo w Polsce’ [Construction in Poland] report for 2013. Eight out of ten of the managers surveyed expected production to decrease.
AFI Properties sees profits rise
CEE REGION AFI Properties has registered a 22 pct increase in the company’s profit in the first quarter of 2013, compared to the same period of last year.
X5 enjoys first quarter growth
RUSSIA X5 Retail Group achieved a 7.5 pct y-o-y increase in net sales to USD 4.16 bln in the first quarter. Gross profit for the company was also up 7.3 pct on Q1 2012 to USD 1.016 bln, with a gross profit margin of 24.4 pct.

POLAND Financial services group Prudential has leased 363 sqm of services space on the ground floor of Beta Centre in Wrocław, while medical centre chain Synexus Polska has taken 326 sqm of office space in Sky Tower in the same city.
