Slovak industrial market picking up
SLOVAKIA The Slovak industrial and logistics market showed increased activity in Q2 2015, mainly in terms of new leases. The total volume of closed transactions in Q2 2015 reached app. 53,000 sqm. Although the second quarter of last year was more active (by app. 15.5 pct), in comparison to Q1 2015 there has been a 22.5 pct increase in transactional activity.

X5 leases almost 40,000 sqm in Vorsino
RUSSIA X5 Retail Group has signed a ten-year lease agreement for a built-to-suit distribution facility in the Freight Village Vorsino logistics complex, which is currently being developed at the border of New Moscow and the Kaluga Region adjacent to the Ermolino airport.
Moscow warehouse vacancies close to crisis levels
RUSSIA The vacancy rate for the Moscow region’s warehouse market rose to 11.2 pct by the end of Q2. The number is only marginally lower than the level registered in 2009, when it reached 11.6 pct, according to a JLL report.

POLAND Development and automotive company Marvipol is to set up a joint venture company with the warehouse developer Panattoni Europe in order to jointly develop two warehousing projects near Warsaw.
Uniwheels develops 42,000 sqm Stalowa Wola facilities
POLAND Warsaw-listed Germany-headquartered wheel rim manufacturer Uniwheels is building its new 32,000 sqm production plant in Stalowa Wola, where it already runs two factories. The new project’s capex is estimated at app. EUR 87 mln.

POLAND Wyborowa Pernod Ricard has expanded its logistics complex in Zielona Góra. The company has opened a new 3,000 sqm warehouse section, bringing its total area up to 12,000 sqm.
