Mirbud contracts Technobud for Gliwice arena

POLAND Mirbud has sub-contracted Technobud Nowy Sącz to install the reinforced monolithic concrete structure of the main hall of the Podium sports arena in Gliwice.

The estimated value of the contract, which Technobud has to execute by April 30th 2014, comes to more than PLN 35.4 mln gross. Mirbud was awarded the PLN 321.4 mln contract by Gliwice city council for the construction of the arena in April. It is to have a useable area of more than 56,200 sqm. The project also involves the construction of a training hall, a spa centre, an external multi-storey car park and an elevated fire escape route. It is to have a seating capacity for 13,700 people and will also be able to accommodate 2,800 people on the pitch.
