WORLD Philips and Cisco have signed a global strategic partnership on the development of Internet-connected office lighting systems.
Equipped with sensors and controls, Philips’ LED connected lighting systems will be integrated with Cisco’s IT networks to bring services supported by the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to office buildings and help to measure the office environment, among many others. “Lighting that is connected to highly secure, reliable IT infrastructure will form the backbone of the smart office of the future,” said Bill Bien, SVP, the head of strategy and marketing at Philips Lighting.The allian
