POLAND Hyperscale data centre launched in Warsaw

Technology
Vantage Data Centers has announced the opening of two hyperscale data campuses – in Warsaw and Berlin.

The Warsaw complex, which is the Silicon Valley-based company’s first campus to open in the country, is situated on a 5 ha greenfield site in the city’s northern Bielany district. It covers 36,000 sqm and offers 48MW of IT capacity.

I’m very happy that a campus with data centres has been built in the Bielany district. We need new technology and so, as a district council, we support this development. It’s also worth mentioning that Vantage Data Centers is open to cooperating with the local community and has supported many of our initiatives since the beginning of its activities in the district.
Grzegorz Pietruczuk, the mayor of Bielany

The new Berlin campus (the company’s second in Germany), is located on a 5 ha site near Brandenburg Airport. The first of the two buildings are now completed, but when fully developed, the complex will offer 32MW on 24,000 sqm.

The launch of the new sites form part of Vantage Data Centers’ USD 2 bln investment programme in European in hyperscale centres capable of cloud provision. Out of its nine planned campuses in the EMEA region, five are now fully-operational – in Berlin I, Warsaw, Frankfurt I, Zurich and Cardiff).
