WORLD Philips Lightning has signed a global partner agreement with Vodafone to develop a wireless integrated street lighting project for cities.
The Philips CityTouch system has already been implemented in 530 locations in 33 countries, in cities including Szczecin. As well as being a municipal lighting system, the technology is designed to reduce costs. Philips CityTouch is based on LED–Philips DigiStreet energy efficient lighting, which is equipped with sockets including sensors and involves wireless communication with a control panel.
