POLAND The final stretch of the A4 motorway from Rzeszów to Jarosław, which was constructed by a consortium of Budimex and Strabag, is now complete. The official opening of the Rzeszów East – Jarosław section of the A4 motorway took place on July 20th. The A4 motorway is part of the route stretching from Western Europe to Ukraine.
The road begins at the Jędrzychowice / German border crossing, passes through Wrocław, Opole, Katowice, Kraków, Tarnów and Rzeszów, then on to the Ukrainian border crossing in Korczowa. The history of the A4 goes back to 1936 when the first section of the current motorway’s route was completed.
