Q-beacons in Osowa

POLAND The Osowa shopping centre in Gdańsk has introduced a beacon system with which up-to-date store discounts and offers can be transmitted directly to customers’ smartphones.
This has been made possible by the Qpony app, which is used by over 500,000 people per month across Poland. The Osowa shopping centre features Q-Beacon sensors positioned in such a way that every customer is within the range of at least two beacons at any given time. A customer with the pre-installed Qpony.pl app on his phone and Bluetooth enabled can receive personalised offers from nearby Q-Beacons. The message could be an SMS text message, a photograph or a picture of a discount coupon. The Q
