No free parking in Minsk

The pilot programme covers the streets Varanianskaha, Czklava and Awakiana where there are parking spaces for around 120 vehicles. Cameras automatically read vehicle number plates and calculate the fee for the time spent in the area. The cars of local residents and municipal vehicles are exempt from payments, which may be made via a downloadable mobile app. The testing of the system, which has been set up by a private company, will last to the end of the year and if all goes well, it will be rolled out to other parts of the city.
