EUROPE Polcom, which is based in Topole near Chojnice in Pomerania, is planning to build the largest building using module technology in the world – a 47-storey hotel with 620 rooms in Canary Wharf in London.
All the modules and room furnishings will be produced in Polcom’s factory in Poland before being transported to London to be assembled. The investor and developer will be Polcom, while the minority shareholder will be the Foreign Expansion Fund, which is owned by the PFR TFI fund. The building will house a Marriott Residence Inn hotel and a AC Hotel by Marriott, which will operate on a franchise basis, managed by Redefine BDL hotels.
