Warehouse market hotting up around Budapest

HUNGARY According to the Budapest Research Forum (BRF) The total modern industrial stock in Budapest and its surroundings stood at 2,068,900 sqm at the end of the quarter.
Total demand came to 103,790 sqm in Q1 2018, up by 45 pct y-o-y. Lease renewals accounted for 72.7 pct of the quarterly volume, while the share of new leases was 21.8 pct. Expansions took up 5.5 pct of the quarterly volume. No pre-lease agreements were signed but24 leasing transactions were recorded, of which two agreements were signed for more than 10,000 sqm. The average transaction size was 4,320 sqm, one and a half times the average level of the previous five years’ first quarters. The

Poland AI and cloud demand drives growth in European data centre market

Demand for computing power is rising rapidly, driven by artificial intelligence and cloud services. This is accelerating growth in Europe’s data centre market. The sector’s total capacity could reach 13 GW by the end of 2026, up 20 pct year on year, according to CBRE’s 'Europe Data Centres Q2 2026' report. Rising demand is also changing where data centres are being built. Investors are increasingly looking beyond the largest hubs, creating new opportunities for Poland, where data centre capacity could grow from around 200 MW today to 500 MW by 2030.
