Smartphone controls the light in Dubai

DUBAI Students at the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) in Dubai do not have to use the light switches anymore. They control it using a smartphone.
This is possible with the Interact Office platform i.e. the integrated lighting system, which has been provided by Signify (former Philips Lighting). This LED lighting allows you to control the light with a special application. It also makes it easier to move around the university. Special presence detectors help detect if there are people in the room and switch the light on or off accordingly. Its intensity depends also on the intensity of daylight.
