WORLD Human skills in the job market of tomorrow will remain irreplaceable, and technology will redefine existing jobs rather than replace them, according to the ‘Future of Work’ report, published by recruitment company Michael Page.
With technology people will no longer work on spreadsheets, process data or handle customer queries. Machines will streamline these tasks freeing up employees to concentrate on more complex tasks. Biometric clothing will be used ever more frequently and can will be used to measure a worker’s exposure to dangerous conditions. Ford has recently announced that it is to equip the crews of 15 of its factories in seven countries with exoskeletons, once the testing is complete. Systems such as Google
