POLAND Samsung Electronics Polska and First Data Polska are to launch a system for using mobile phones as portable payment terminals.
The product is to be introduced this year. So far shops and service providers have had to use payment terminals to accept card payments and mobile payments.
Samsung Electronics and First Data have signed a cooperation agreement under which they will together develop the software for retailers to use Samsung smartphones as portable payment terminals, with the app for accepting payments to be developed by First Data, while Cardtek will design the software to enable EMV transactions on Samsung mo
