POLAND LCP buys Scallier centre in Pleszew

Retail & leisure
LCP Group has added another retail park to its portfolio following the purchase of such a centre in Pleszew in Wielkopolska province from Scallier.

The 3,548 sqm gla retail park is located next to Kaufland supermarket on a 1 ha site at ul. Armii Poznań 24. Its main tenants are Rossmann, Pepco, KiK, Tedi, RTV Euro AGD and Kaes.

Polish company Scallier, which developed the retail park in cooperation with PKB Inwest Budownictwo, was responsible for acquiring the plot, the preparation of the commercialisation concept, the leasing process and the sale of the property.

The Pleszew retail park fits perfectly into the market demand for the development of modern retail space in smaller and medium-sized Polish cities where the supply of such space has been limited so far. In retail parks, along with international brands, local retailers also operate, thus creating unique shopping locations that meet the needs of local residents. The complementary nature of retail parks with e-commerce cannot be overestimated either. These centres are often an important element in the supply chains of goods that consumers order in online stores.
Bartosz Nowak, the managing partner of Scallier

In Poland, Scallier, which is also active in Romania with its Funshop network, is currently developing retail parks in Pyrzyce, Pruszków and Wrocław.

LCP (London Cambridge Properties) has plans to invest in a few more projects, which will bring the value of its portfolio in Poland to EUR 500 mln by the end of the year.
