POLAND HB Reavis partners with Polsat for Port Praski

Office & mixed-use development
Polsat Plus Group has signed a joint venture agreement with Slovak developer HB Reavis, which involves the latter acquiring 50 pct stakes in the Port Praski City II and Port Praski Medical Center projects in Warsaw for app. EUR 24.3 mln.

Greenberg Traurig is acting as legal advisor to Polsat Plus Group for the joint venture agreement, which will involve the development of office buildings with additional retail space in the large-scale Port Praski city-forming project in Warsaw’s Praga Północ district. The group’s intention is to invest EUR 880 mln in development projects in Port Praski, as ‘Eurobuild CEE’ reported on last December.

Congratulations to our client on another milestone transaction for which Greenberg Traurig is honoured to advise. The planned cooperation with HB Reavis on the office development in Port Praski, which is unique owing to the enormous potential of the location of the property, represents the next stage of the strategic development of the Polsat Plus Group with the support of Greenberg Traurig.
Daniel Kaczorowski, a partner in Greenberg Traurig’s Warsaw office

The joint venture agreement defines the rules of cooperation between the companies regarding the development, including the principles of corporate governance and financing as well as rules for implementing and commercialising the planned project. The implementation of the project is subject to the fulfilment of the conditions precedent set forth in the agreements as well as obtaining the relevant construction permits.

Port Praski is being developed on 38 ha of the former dockside in Praga Północ, which has the potential for the development 800,000 sqm of built-up space.
