Poland Mitiska and Karuzela open Kołobrzeg centre

Mitiska REIM and Karuzela Holding have opened a new convenience shopping centre mall in Kołobrzeg on Poland's Baltic coast. The new centre contains 40 shops on an area of 19,800 sqm and offers parking for 1,000 vehicles.

In addition to grocery operator Lidl, other tenants include Sinsay, CCC, HalfPrice, Reserved, New Yorker, Martes Sport, KiK, Pepco and Media Expert. The new development is adjacent to a Leroy Merlin DIY store, which opened in January this year, and a McDonald's restaurant, which is due to open at the end of November.

The centre is located close to the centre of Kołobrzeg and the S6 expressway. It meets the requirements for BREEAM certification at the 'Very Good' level.

The financing for the shopping centre has been provided by a consortium of Aion and mBank.

Poland MLP increases occupancy rates

Last year MLP Group recorded very good results as regards contracts signed with tenants. During the period, the developer of modern logistics facilities leased in approx. 240,000 sqm of space. The largest number of contracts were signed at the MLP Pruszków II park near Warsaw and MLP Poznań West. This year the level of commercialisation is planned to go up by about 20 pct.

Polish warehouse developed 7R has leased out the entire first stage of 7R Park Bydgoszcz, which is now being prepared for expansion. The main tenant of the first phase is now Polish logistics operator Rohlig Suus Logistics, which has decided to lease another 3,000 sqm, bringing its premises in the park up to almost 16,500 sqm.

The investment platform completed 112 transactions across 14 countries in 2022, including around EUR 2.1 bln of acquisitions and EUR 1.5 bln of disposals, resulting in a net investment of app. EUR 600 mln.
