Carrefour Polska launches Sonata Park

POLAND A new retail park has opened in Sochaczew. The 6,000 sqm Sonata Park, a Carrefour project, is located on ul. Warszawska and operates as an extension to Carrefour’s hypermarket.

Rosehill takes over Galeria Młociny site

POLAND Rosehill Investments, which has recently purchased a 5-ha plot in Warsaw to construct a shopping centre, will materialize its plans on a land plot where previously Coimpex had intended to build Galeria Młociny, according to what ‘Eurobuild CEE’ has found from Rosehill.

First Quick Park underway

POLAND In Q1 2015, Real2B will start the construction work on the first Polish Quick Park retail park. The project’s investor, Mineralna Development, aims to develop 50 similar projects within the next ten years in Poland, including four over the next year.

POLAND In Q3 2014, the warehouse developer MLP Group has seen a 9.2 pct y-o-y surge in revenue, to PLN 75.3 mln. The net value of MLP assets increased by 25.3 pct y-o-y, to PLN 546.7 mln, while the company’s investment properties exceeded PLN 1 bln, a PLN 78.7 mln increase y-o-y.

Griffin Property Finance II gives first loan

POLAND Griffin Group has launched the Griffin Property Finance II platform, a debt fund financing real estate projects, of which ‘Eurobuild CEE’ informed at the beginning of July. The fund’s first transaction has already taken place: GPF II provided a EUR 46 mln financing to Rosehill Investment.

POLAND ECE’s European Prime Shopping Centre Fund II has closed with EUR 500 mln raised. The Zielone Arkady shopping centre, which is currently being developed by ECE in Bydgoszcz, has been secured as the first property for the fund.

POLAND Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has granted the Cedet redevelopment project with a EUR 56.5 mln loan as part of the Polish Investments programme it supports. The Cedet project redevelops and extends the historical CDT building in Warsaw, which used to house the iconic Smyk children’s department store.

Skanska to renovate Łódź skyscraper

POLAND Skanska has signed a PLN 10.8 mln contract for the modernization of a Łódź skyscraper that formerly housed the state-run Centrala Handlu Zagranicznego (the Foreign Trade Office). Located at ul. Romualda Traugutta 25, the building opened in 1972.

POLAND Polish State Railway (PKP) has announced the winner of the tender for redeveloping the railways station in Gliwice. Five offers were submitted in the tender procedure. A consortium of Aldesa Construcciones Polska and Aldesa Construcciones will modernize the station for PLN 136.8 mln.
