Market interest in CEE data centres continues to surge
EUROPE/ CEE REGION In H1 2014, connectivity hubs in Europe have sold a total of 38MW of customer IT power, a 68 pct y-o-y increase. Currently dominated by London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam facilities, the European data centre industry is starting to blossom in the CEE region where more and more facilities of this kind is being developed, says CBRE in its latest report.

CEE REGION In H1 2014, struggling shopping-centre developer Plaza Centers has seen its profit decreasing to EUR 12.6 mln, an 11 pct y-o-y slip and its total assets shrinking by EUR 67 mln over just six months, to EUR 519 mln, as the company continues to implement its debt restructuring plan.
Danone Bucharest headquarters changes hands
ROMANIA Cyprus-based development and investment company Secure Property Development & Investment has taken over EOS Business Park, a Bucharest office building fully leased out by Danone Romania, for EUR 5.85 mln.
Warsaw and Budapest drive CEE office performance
EUROPE/ CEE REGION In Q2 2014, European prime office rents have increased by 0.4 pct, slightly lower than at the beginning of the year when they hit 1.1 pct. Meanwhile, leasing volumes in Europe reached 2.8 mln sqm, a 19 pct quarter-over-quarter increase and an 11 pct year-over-year surge, according to the latest study by JLL.
