Warsaw obtains EUR 240 mln loan to boost infrastructure
POLAND The European Investment Bank (EIB) will lend EUR 240 mln (PLN 1 bln) for Warsaw municipal infrastructure projects. The funds will support the city’s 2014-2019 investment programme and contribute to creating the long-awaited mobility schemes, education, social and healthcare infrastructure as well as modernizing public and green spaces.

MOL shared services center opens in Alchemia
POLAND A European subsidiary of the Japanese transport company Mitsui OSK Lines, MOL Europe, has signed a five-year lease deal for 800 sqm in the Alchemia business park in Gdańsk.
Hotel occupancy in Moscow drops by 4 pct
RUSSIA According to the latest report by JLL, in 2014, the quality hotel market in Moscow has seen a 4-pct drop in occupancy rates (down to 59 pct) and a 1-pct drop in the ADR (now at the level of RUB 6,000). This fall can be attributed to the political turmoil in Ukraine and sanctions put on Russia as a result, the analysts write in the “Moscow Hotel Market” report.
European investment on the rise in Q2
CEE REGION In Q2 2014, the volume of commercial real estate investment across the Central European markets (Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania) amounted to EUR 1.14 bln, which represented a 75 pct increase y-o-y, a new report by Cushman & Wakefield shows.

ROMANIA Romanian International Bank, a subsidiary of the Polish financial group Getin Holding, has found a place for its new headquarters. The company will lease 3,500 sqm of office space at Hermes Business Campus in Bucharest.

LCP attracts another tenant for Bydgoszcz warehouse
POLAND PHUP Gniezno, the distributor of grocery products, will now have its warehouse at the Logistic & Business Park (LCP) in Bydgoszcz. The company has leased an area of 4,450 sqm from LCP’s owner, London & Cambridge Properties.

POLAND French grocer Carrefour has extended its 4,450-sqm lease contract with Galeria Gniezno for the next ten years. The nine-year-old Galeria Gniezno building, which belongs to the investment fund Standard Life Investments, offers 17,000 sqm of retail space.

Four new tenants in Gliwice shopping mall
POLAND Arrangements works are now taking place in the four new stores that will soon open in Europa Centralna, a shopping mall in Gliwice. The stores, including Fabryka Dywanów Welton, will jointly take up over 890 sqm.

POLAND The Polish-Israeli developer Okam is interested in purchasing a 4.3-h plot of land in Warsaw district of Praga. Located on ul. Szwedzka, the parcel has formerly housed Pollena Uroda’s manufacturing facilities. It could now accommodate nearly 1,000 apartments and some office space.

POLAND A Mirbud-owned company, JHN Development, will develop a 3,000-sqm retail facility in the city of Rumia. Mirbud, the project’s general contractor, has already broken ground at the construction site.

POLAND Totalbud will be general contractor for a new residential building on ul. Pory in Warsaw, developed by a social housing association, Warszawa Południe. The value of the contract, signed after the so-called “design and construct” bidding procedure, amounts to app. PLN 9.7 mln.
