Eurobuild Awards 2018: the tenants have chosen
The Eurobuild Awards are not just decided by the votes of the jury. The projects of five categories are also decided upon by the votes cast by their tenants. Here is their verdict.

POLAND Polnord has officially announced that it signed a letter of intent with Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) in November for the latter to acquire two buildings in Wilanów Office Park in Warsaw's Wilanów district.

POLAND Pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, as arranger and sole lender, has provided a credit facility of EUR 75.4 mln for the recent acquisition of the Cedet building in Warsaw city centre by a Polish company managed by GLL Real Estate Partners on behalf of Korean institutional investors.

Helaba loans Atrium EUR 170 mln for Wars Sawa Junior
POLAND Helaba is providing a partly syndicated eight-year loan of EUR 170 mln to Atrium European Real Estate to finance its recent acquisition of the Wars Sawa Junior department store complex in Warsaw city centre.
3,500 sqm lease in Eurovea City
SLOVAKIA Swan – Benestrou has leased around 3,500 sqm in the Landerova 12 building of the Eurovea City complex owned by J&T Real Estate in Bratislava.

WORLD Ingka Centres, which operates the IKEA chain, is planning to invest EUR 5.8 bln globally over the next three years.

Final contractor chosen for Warsaw Metro
POLAND The city of Warsaw city council has signed appointed a consortium of Gülermak Ağir Sanayi İnşaat ve Taahhüt and Astaldi to construct a 2.5 km section of the second metro line, extending it from Wola into the city’s Bemowo district.

Polish-Italian job for Kraków concert hall
POLAND The design has been approved for the Centrum Muzyki concert hall complex in Kraków. The jury, chaired by Ewa Kuryłowicz, chose the proposal prepared by a Polish-Italian team comprising SBS Engineering Group of Krakow and 3TI Progetti Italia – Ingegneria Integrata of Rome, whose entry beat off rival bids from around the world.

CDRL warehouse completed
POLAND CDRL, the owner of the Coccodrillo store chain, has completed the 9-month construction of a 3,700 sqm warehouse next to its headquarters south of Poznań in Kościan.
Smarten up – to save costs and the environment
POLAND Adapting traditional real estate into smart buildings has now become a global trend, according to Siemens Financial Services, which estimates that this market in Poland could now even be worth up to PLN 4 bln.

RUSSIA/BELARUS Minsk-based developer Stroytrest 4 [Стройтрест № 4] is to build a 21-storey residential building in Moscow for employees of the Belarusian embassy.

Collectomate to streamline shipments
POLAND Łódź-based start-up Collectomate has set up a platform to facilitate the delivery and storage of parcels in office and residential buildings. Its founders, Marcin Ciącio and Rafał Dylewski, hope to use the system to solve the so-called last mile problem by improving the efficiency of deliveries.
