Warsaw offices in record demand
POLAND The total demand for Warsaw office space in H1 2017 came to 391,400 sqm – the best half-year figure in the market’s history, according to JLL.
High supply and high leasing activity
POLAND Over 722,200 sqm of office space is currently under construction across Warsaw according to the ‘Market in Minutes’ report published by Savills. Despite such a high level of new supply the market remains healthy which is proven by a decreasing vacancy rate and a record leasing activity after first six months of the year.
Globalworth launches on Romanian stock exchange
ROMANIA Real estate investor Globalworth will start trading on the main market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange on 31st July, 2017, with 5,500 bonds, nominative, dematerialized, freely transferable, at a nominal value of EUR 100,000 and a total value worth EUR 550 mln.

SLOVAKIA Swiss automotive import services company Emil Frey has leased 12,000 sqm of warehouse space in P3 Bratislava Park in Lozorno, about 25 km north of the capital city.

Łódź zoning study available for viewing
POLAND A study into the future zoning of Łódź has been made available for public viewing. The document that lays down the city’s future development until 2050 can be viewed until the 15th September and comments may be submitted until the 9th of October 2017.
Vector + aims for BREEAM
POLAND City Level has started the BREEAM certification of its Vector+ office project which is being developed in Warsaw’s Wola district. The building is aiming for a rating of ‘Very Good’ New Construction category.

POLAND The Empik store in the Manufaktura shopping centre in Łodź has been transformed into the sixth Empik Future Store in Poland.

POLAND Flottweg Polska has signed a 303 sqm lease in the Nord Kapp office building in the NordKapp Business Park on ul. Annopol in Warsaw’s Białołęka district and is to move in in October this year.
Bill to form KZN enters Sejm
POLAND A governmental bill on the establishment of the National Property Holding, (Krajowy Zasób Nieruchomości), which is to manage government real estate and is to support the Apartment Plus programme, has been introduced to the Sejm.

Eco-Technilin leases in Tychy
POLAND Automotive industry supplier Eco-Technilin has leased of over 5,000 sqm of warehouse and manufacturing space, including offices in Segro Industrial Park Tychy 1, and thus entered into the Katowice Special Economic Zone.
Two stores open for Lidl
POLAND Lidl opened a store in the Cuprum Arena shopping centre on ul. Sikorskiego in Lubin as well as its first outlet in Zakopane on 20th of July.
Smyk to open in Swarzędz
POLAND A 510 sqm Smyk children’s store is to be opened in the ETC Swarzędz shopping centre in Swarzędz near Poznań. The store will include a special zone for the younger children.
