Latest topping off on the island
POLAND The second stage of the Granaria project in Gdańsk has been topped off. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the city authorities of Gdańsk and the Pomorskie Province, local government institutions, media and residents of Pomerania.
RD Bud working on two Castoramas

LITHUANIA Merko Statyba, part of the Merko Ehitus group has signed a contract with the Office of Finance and Administrative Services of the Archdiocese of Vilnius to build a school at 14 Medeinos street in Vilnius.
EU forks out over PLN 1 bln for S5
POLAND The EU is to provide PLN 1.83 bln to finance the construction of a 74km section of the S5 road between the Nowe Marzy A1 motorway junction near Grudziądz and Bydgoszcz, with the work to be completed in 2020.
More dredging at Port of Gdańsk
POLAND Doraco has signed three contracts with the Port of Gdańsk Authority worth a total of PLN 105 mln to extend and deepen the port as well as modernise the road and railway system and rebuild the quays.
Budimex happy with weaker results
POLAND For H1 Budimex has recorded a fall in its net profit to PLN 128 mln from PLN 194.7 mln recorded for the same period of the previous year. The company attributes this fall to the rising cost of wages, materials, subcontractors and transportation services and Dariusz Blocher, the CEO of Budimex believes the company’s performance to have been good considering the conditions on the market.

ESTONIA Merko Infra, part of Merko Ehitus group, has been appointed by Elering to extend the Harku 330 kV substation. Construction is scheduled to be completed in September 2019 in a contract worth EUR 1.05 mln plus VAT.

POLAND Polski Holding Nieruchomości (PHN) has officially handed over the 0.87 ha site for the construction of a 1,100 sqm retail building on ul. Geodezyjna (just off Trasa Toruńska) in Warsaw’s Białołęka district to general contractor Eurobudowa.

POLAND "We will have 32 office floors and two technical levels. So we still have around 20 floors to build. The ferroconcrete construction work should be completed before the end of the year and the whole project in Q3 2019. There are around 400 people now working on the site," Hubert Kondracki, technical manager, Golub Gethouse.
