POLAND The EU is to provide PLN 1.83 bln to finance the construction of a 74km section of the S5 road between the Nowe Marzy A1 motorway junction near Grudziądz and Bydgoszcz, with the work to be completed in 2020.
POLAND Doraco has signed three contracts with the Port of Gdańsk Authority worth a total of PLN 105 mln to extend and deepen the port as well as modernise the road and railway system and rebuild the quays.
POLAND For H1 Budimex has recorded a fall in its net profit to PLN 128 mln from PLN 194.7 mln recorded for the same period of the previous year. The company attributes this fall to the rising cost of wages, materials, subcontractors and transportation services and Dariusz Blocher, the CEO of Budimex believes the company’s performance to have been good considering the conditions on the market.
