POLAND Warbud will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of the fit-out work for the Złota 44 office building in Warsaw.
According to the contract concluded with BBI Development and Amstar, the first few residents will receive their apartments at the end of 2016. “I am glad that will be cooperating with such a renowned contractor on the Polish market. 2016 will be very important for Złota 44. The building is to be completed, with an elegant lobby, a unique recreational floor and we will hand over apartments to the first few residents. The contract with Warbud guarantees that everything will take place on schedule,” claims Michał Skotnicki, the president of BBI Development. Under the contract Warbud will carry out all the remaining construction work, particularly the fit-out work on the flats and the passageways as well as develop the external area. The company will also supervise the work of the subcontractors. “I am proud that our company will contribute to the completion of Złota 44. The construction of this most exclusive residential project on the Polish market is an honour for the company under my management. We will contribute to the project our knowledge and experience gained over the two decades of our operations on the commercial and residential construction market in Poland,” declared Włodzimierz Włodarczyk, the president of the board at Warbud. The previous contractor was Inso Sistemi Per Le Infrastructure Social, with whom BBI and Amstar terminated the contract in September. Warbud has also been chosen for the construction of a building for parliamentary committees on ul. Wiejska in Warsaw. The Sejm Office chose Warbud’s almost PLN 79 mln bid for the project. Other companies participating in the tender included Skanska and Porr. The useable area of the planned building amounts to app. 8,000 sqm. The building of the Sejm committees will consist of six above-ground floors and three underground. A section of the underground part is to be located under ul. Wiejska. The above-ground floors are designed to include offices and Sejm committee session rooms. Its underground floors are planned to include a three-storey car park, some technical and storage rooms as well as committee session rooms and offices on -1 floor. The building of the Sejm committees will be included in a complex of buildings for the Sejm Office by connecting it with the existing ‘K’ building through an underground connector. Some of the rooms in building ‘K’ will be redeveloped in order to build a staircase and install a passenger lift. The new building for the Sejm committees should be completed in 2018.
