POLAND Centrum Kongresowo-Rekreacyjne, including two hotels, a water park and some thermal springs, is to be developed in Bałtów in Świętokrzyskie province.
The initiator of the project and its main investor is the ‘Delta’ association – a member of the ‘Szwajcaria Bałtowska’ tourism association. “We are planning to invite companies to cooperate with us and they will jointly establish a consortium in order to carry out the project in question,” the association has revealed. The project is to be carried out in Bałtów as part of Bałtowski Kompleks Turystyczny, over 23 plots with a combined area of app. 4.31 ha. ‘Eurobuild CEE’ has discovered that they are all located within the Kamienna Valley Landscape Protection Area. The parcels are covered by a local zoning plan, with the owner of the land being the ‘Delta’ association. “The main intention of the Centrum Konferencyjno-Rekreacyjne ‘Szwajcaria Bałtowska’ project is to create an all-year-round multifunctional accommodation centre with a commercial character offering a professional and varied accommodation base,” the association explains. The centre will comprise a four-star hotel including a conference base, a three-star hotel, a covered water park and a complex of outdoor swimming pools including thermal springs as well as a two-storey underground car park for 542 vehicles, which will all be inter-connected. The four-star hotel will have a total area of 17,500 sqm, 104 rooms (double, triple and quadruple), two double rooms for the disabled and nine suites. The conference complex will be big enough for 820 people, the restaurant for 430 people and the summer terrace for 80 people. The three-star hotel with a combined area of 2,500 sqm will have 15 rooms and 21 suites. It will be designed in the style traditional for Swiss resorts. Several of the architectural details will reference the Jurassic era, this being the basic tourist motif of Bałtowski Kompleks Turystyczny. “A swimming pool in a Jurassic lagoon style with LED screens displaying pictures and animations of the Jurassic landscape will form a special element of the thermal spring. According to the initial design, there will be outdoor dioramas around the thermal spring featuring rocks, bays and caves (equipped with multimedia effects) as well as plants to recreate the Mesozoic era flora (ginkgo, pseudolarix, magnolia , fern and yellow pine). The ‘Delta’ association is the manager of Bałtowski Kompleks Turystyczny – the first dinosaur-themed park in Poland. BKT currently covers an area of app. 100 ha and includes attractions operated by the family companies that own the JuraPark brand and cooperate with each other.
