Radisson Red enters Poland

The facility is to be opened in Kraków, in the former ‘Szkieletor’ i.e. Unity Center which is currently under construction. Radisson Red Kraków will be managed and serviced by Rezidor Hotel Group. Rezidor Hotel Group is part of the international group Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. We recently reported the plans concerning the opening of the Radisson Red hotel in Vilnius. Radisson Red is a new brand of Carlson Rezidor, the creators of which were inspired by the ideas of Y generation and the fields of life which are important for the generation: technology, fashion, music and art.
The Red brand focuses on futuristic thinking about the design. “We are very proud of the possibility of introducing our Radisson Red brand to Poland. We could not have chosen a more interesting location than Kraków – a city wrapped in a legend which is one of the most important locations on the hotel market. Radisson Red will constitute an exciting contract but it will also complement its beautiful history and atmosphere by introducing elements of modern technology,” said Ellie Younes, executive vice-president and development director at Rezidor Hotel Group. The completion of the construction work on Radisson Red Kraków is planned for autumn 2019. The facility will consist of 230 rooms, restaurants and a bar as well as a meeting area. Guests will be able to use a round-the-clock fitness centre. The property where the hotel is to be developed constitutes an integral part of Unity Center which is under construction.
The investor of the complex is Treimorfa Project, shareholders of which are Eurozone Equity Company and the GD&K group. “The hotel industry is a new segment of operations, however, cooperation with such a partner and a unique location make it possible for us to feel comfortably. We are convinced that the hotel as an element of an office complex will attractive for tenants and guests. It is the first such facility in Kraków,” said Iwona Fumanik, proxy of Eurozone Equity. The first Radisson Red hotel was opened in Brussels in April 2016, the next one – in Minneapolis in November 2016. By 2020 Radisson Red is planning to open 60 more facilities. “The introduction of Radisson RED to the market is a key pillar of our development strategy in this country. We currently have twelve hotels here – and over 2,700 rooms – Radisson Blue and Park Inn by Radisson. Rezidior currently focuses on extending its share in the Polish market,” says Ellie Younes. Hotel group emphasizes that Radisson Blu is the largest chain of hotels in Poland in the upper-scale standard hotels with regard to the number of locations and the number of rooms which it manages.
