Modern additions to Grójec palace hotel

Spichlerz [the Granary] – a new hotel and conference section – was opened in the 18th century palace and park hotel complex at the end of April. The new section contains 21 apartments comprising a total of 66 beds.

“The palace also has four historic outbuildings, in which we have created 16 uniquely designed suites,” claims Tomasz Barański, the director of the hotel. “Thanks to the new investment and the expansion of the hotel’s accommodation, we are now able to provide our guests with a total of more than 100 beds. Particularly noteworthy is the Prince’s Suite – the only one of its kind and the most exclusive room in the palace. This charming room has a rich history. Over the years it was the guestroom for such aristocracy as the Walicki, Zamoyski, Lubomirski and Morawski families. It also hosted the great 20th century Polish actress Nina Andrycz, who was known to be very fond of the hotel. The Prince’s Suite is a fabulous bedroom with a huge bed and stylised furniture and a spacious bathroom, from which you can admire the view of the palace rose gardens,” adds the director of the hotel.

Spichlerz is not the only new addition to the palace complex. In the autumn more facilities are to be added to the complex. One will be Dom Ogrodnika [the Gardener's House], which will have 16 double-rooms. Termy Pompejańskie Comfort Spa [The Pompeiian Thermal Springs Comfort Spa] – a spa and wellness area – will also be opened. A driving range for golfers is also to be added. The New Orangery, a two-level banqueting hall will be another addition, inspired by the 18th century Old Orangery. The two richly finished ballrooms will comprise 850 sqm of exhibition space. The hotel currently offers eleven conference rooms and business lounges with modern multimedia equipment.

“We have almost 1,600 sqm of conference facilities. With the addition of the two ballrooms in the New Orangery, we will be able to host events for up to 600 people,” says Tomasz Barański. “For more discrete conversations in a VIP standard location, there will seven historic lounges in the interior of the palace as well as four spacious conference rooms with modern multimedia equipment,” he adds.

The owners of the building also plan to expand the Palace Museum and the Grójec Museum of Fruit Farming. Many cultural events are held in the complex throughout the year. In the summer season, open air classical music concerts are held. The oldest buildings of the Pałac Mała Wieś hotel date back to 1786. It has survived in almost its original form to this date. The palace lies within a 30 ha park.
