Czech Republic Tens of megawatts on roofs across country

ČEZ ESCO and CTP have launched a strategic cooperation in the field renewable energy. CTP intends to equip the roofs of selected parks with photovoltaic power plants in the coming years.
The first joint photovoltaic system, with an output of 2 MW, has already been built in CTPark Prague East in Nupaky near Prague, on the roofs of warehouses where the logistics company Raben is located. A test run of this rooftop PV system is currently underway. New power plants are also being built at CTParks in Chrášt'any near Prague, Hradec Králové, Brno, Ostrava and Cerhovice near Hořovice. Star Capital Finance (SCF) has been in the news again recently with the EUR 110 mln acquisition in a joint venture of a portfolio of six Polish retail parks. This followed the purchase of the Jantar shopping centre in Słupsk earlier this year and its entry into the Romanian market. In 2024, it made an even bigger splash with the EUR 285 mln deal for six Polish shopping centres – which was voted CEE Transaction of the Year at the Eurobuild Awards. So, we spoke to the CEO of the Prague-based investor, Josef Malíř, about SCF’s approach to the ever-changing retail sector.

Poland Strabag to build for Wrocław Airport

Wrocław Airport is to construct a terminal to serve passengers travelling outside the Schengen Area. The project. which is being developed in an investment of PLN 15.4 mln, will increase the airport's capacity, improve passenger traffic management, and maintain a high level of comfort until the expansion of the main terminal is completed. Strabag is the contractor for the project, and the work is to be completed by April 30, 2027.
