Czech Republic Tens of megawatts on roofs across country

ČEZ ESCO and CTP have launched a strategic cooperation in the field renewable energy. CTP intends to equip the roofs of selected parks with photovoltaic power plants in the coming years.
The first joint photovoltaic system, with an output of 2 MW, has already been built in CTPark Prague East in Nupaky near Prague, on the roofs of warehouses where the logistics company Raben is located. A test run of this rooftop PV system is currently underway. New power plants are also being built at CTParks in Chrášt'any near Prague, Hradec Králové, Brno, Ostrava and Cerhovice near Hořovice. Kraków’s office market saw a sharp drop in tenant activity in the first half of 2026, while the gap between central and non-central locations continued to widen. Developers are becoming more confident about the residential market after a strong July, according to the latest Developer Sentiment Index from housing portal Tabelaofert. The Sales Momentum Change Index rose to 0.53 in August, its highest level this year, while 57.5 pct of developers surveyed now expect sales to increase over the coming months.

Mövenpick has opened its first hotel on Croatia’s Adriatic coast in Novi Vinodolski. The resort includes 198 hotel rooms and suites, as well as 304 privately owned residences, with the first phase already on sale at prices starting from EUR 345,000.

Bestsecret has leased 108,000 sqm at EQT Park Poznań Żerniki. The agreement was signed by EQT Exeter Europe Logistics Value Fund IV, managed by EQT Real Estate. It is one of the largest warehouse leasing transactions in Poland in 2026.

Construction material prices are rising significantly more slowly than inflation, with prices in some categories even falling. Despite this, the situation for construction companies remains challenging. The number of corporate insolvencies in the sector rose by 31.3 pct year on year, while the number of restructuring proceedings almost doubled. Weaker demand, high labour costs and pressure on liquidity are among the main challenges facing the industry.
