Czech Republic Domeq is doing WELL

The certification, awarded by the International WELL Building Institute pbc™, is a globally recognised standard for assessing the quality of indoor environments with respect to human health and well-being. Domeq 2 and 3 are the first residential buildings in the Czech Republic to meet the criteria of the highest Platinum level of WELL certification for air, water, nutrition, light, fitness, thermal and acoustic comfort, materials, mind and community.

The residence is part of the multifunctional Ponávka complex in the heart of Brno, a former brownfield site, which is now characterized by the green atmosphere of its urban campus. In the lobby, there is a relaxation area with a library and drinking fountain, as well as a bike room, laundry room, staff day room and lactation room. Residents have the opportunity to use the community garden or shared spaces equipped with kitchen counters, a piano, pool table, various types of seating areas, and a study room. The spaces also provide free WiFi. There is underground parking with the possibility of charging electric bikes, electric scooters and electric cars. The building is equipped with air conditioning and heat recovery for efficient ventilation of the space and heat retention.
