The renovation of a townhouse on ul Targowa in Warsaw's Praga district is nearing completion. The work was funded by the housing association with financial support from the city.
The neo-Gothic building was originally designed by Hersz Grunberg. The renovations began in 2024. Researchers studied what remained of the façade as well as archival photographs to recreate the original appearance. The work included removing plaster, repairing walls, and insulating the foundations. The façade was retiled while the stucco, neo-Gothic decorations and gable elements were restored. The decorative metal mouldings and the balconies were also replaced.
