Brochocki busy in Wrocław and Poznań
POLAND In the last few months of 2014, the Wrocław branch of real estate brokers Kancelaria Brochocki (Brochocki i Biegański Nieruchomości) participated in the sale of a 5,500 sqm building at ul. Walońska 3-5 in the city as well as 950 sqm of offices in a building on ul. Wagonowa. The buyer of the latter was Best Coffee Systems (the exclusive distributor of the Franke espresso machines in Poland).

LafargeHolcim to sell off EUR 6.5 bln assets to CRH
CEE REGION Two merging cement and aggregates suppliers Holcim and Lafarg aim to sell EUR 6.5 bln assets, including plants and other facilities, to the Irish building materials company CRH. These will include Holcim's assets in Hungary, Serbia and Slovakia, as well as Lafarge's properties in Romania.
Warehouse developers pleased with 2014
CEE REGION Last year was a very good one for the two largest warehouse developers in the region. In 2014 Panattoni and Prologis built 650,000 sqm of warehouse space in total.

Starwood keeps growing in CEE
CEE REGION In 2014, the US hotel giant Starwood, which operates such chains as Westin, Sheraton, Le Meridien, St. Regis, Aloft and W, has opened 74 new hotels worldwide which translated into app. 15,000 rooms in 26 countries. The company now aims to keep up with the pace of openings by adding, among others, new CEE locations to its portfolio.
Vacancy may top 2009 levels
RUSSIA In H1 2015 vacancy levels on the Moscow office market could reach 19–20 pct, that is, the peak levels of the 2008/2009 crisis, according to the latest CBRE report.

POLAND/BALTIC STATES BPT Optima, a fund managed by Northern Horizon Capital, has agreed to sell seven office and retail properties in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda, totalling app. 112,000 sqm of leasable space, as well as the large-scale Young City urban regeneration site on the Gdańsk waterfront, including the historic former shipyard.
