Totalbud to erect residential estate in Mokotów
POLAND Totalbud will be general contractor for a new residential building on ul. Pory in Warsaw, developed by a social housing association, Warszawa Południe. The value of the contract, signed after the so-called “design and construct” bidding procedure, amounts to app. PLN 9.7 mln.

Blackstone acquires CEE logistics portfolio
CEE REGION The US real estate giant Blackstone has acquired six logistics and distribution parks, located across Poland and the Czech Republic, from Pramerica Real Estate Investors. Meanwhile, Blackstone's logistics platform, Logicor, has bought a portfolio of European logistics facilities, including a Hungarian warehouse.

Budmont enters Wikana site in Lublin
POLAND Budmont Sebastian Lipiec, a general contractor, is entering the construction site of Osiedle Marina in Lublin. Work on the residential project has been commissioned by its developer, Wikana.

Point leases space in Newton Plaza
RUSSIA Moscow-based software distributor Point has leased 730 sqm at the Newton Plaza business centre on Nagatinskiy St. in Moscow.

Best Western to open at Kraków airport
POLAND Real estate developer Doctor Q Bud will build a new, Best Western-branded hotel at Kraków-Balice airport. The project is now undergoing the final phase of designing and planning. Best Western Balice Airport Kraków is scheduled to open in the first half of 2016.
Wikana exits commercial projects
POLAND In order to better concentrate on residential construction, the Lublin-based developer Wikana, has sold its commercial property in Krasnobród for PLN 4.2 mln. The mini-mall housed a Biedronka store and a few smaller retailers. The new owner is a private person, specialized in running retail facilities.

POLAND Raben Polska, the European provider of logistics services, has signed the new lease agreements concerning a total of 37,000 sqm of space at the Prologis parks in Wrocław and Chorzów.

HUNGARY China-based IT consultancy firm Pactera has leased 600 sqm in the Dorottya Udvar office building on Budapest's Bocskai út.

Wilanów development gets EUR 61 mln funding
POLAND Capital Park, the investor of the Royal Wilanów office project, located at the junction of ul. Klimczaka and ul. Przyczółkowa in Warsaw, has got a loan from PKO BP to further develop the project. “We have reached the required level of commercialization of the facility, and met the requirements over our deposit, which has paved the way for us to get the first tranche of funding. The total amount of the loan granted by PKO Bank Polski amounts to EUR 61.1 mln,” informed Michał Majewski, treasury manager of Capital Park.

Sołowow selling off Echo Investment?
POLAND Michał Sołowow, the founder and biggest shareholder in Echo Investment, has put his nearly 46 pct stake in the Kielce-based company up for sale. The shares were offered for sale by London branch of Citi. Neither Echo Investment nor Sołowow himself have commented on the news. While Sołowow didn’t find time to answer our questions for over a week, we have confirmed with three independent market sources that the offering is now on.

Octava buys office buildings, Arka for liquidation
POLAND Octava Fizan, the Polish non-public assets closed investment fund, has finalized the purchase of six office buildings from Arka BZ WBK, the real estate closed investment fund that is set to be liquidated. The office buildings which changed their owner include: FDS Plaza and Light House in Warsaw, Quattro Forum in Wrocław, Winogrady Business Center in Poznań, Red Tower in Łódź and Alfa Plaza in Tricity. Their total leasable area amounts to app. 48,300 sqm.

POLAND Focus, an office building located in Warsaw, has been given a “very good” rating in BREEAM In-Use certification, the sustainability assessment scheme for buildings across Europe that promotes best practices in construction and operations.

Dolcan to build in Częstochowa
POLAND A new residential project by Dolcan is to be built on ul. Pułaskiego in Częstochowa. Osiedle Jordanowskie will be constructed out in three stages in which 276 apartments will be built.
Stacja Kazimierz to be launched in summer
POLAND Grupa Waryński and Polnord has started construction work on the Stacja Kazimierz estate in Warsaw. The first stage of the project will include 179 apartments, five retail/service units and 183 parking spaces.
